David Urbinati commissioned us to develop a new logomark and typographic system for his creative studio, Rocket Powered Milk Truck (RPMT). Striving to capture the imagination and ingenuity of this multifaceted studio, we selected a typeface that was both timeless and approachable. It had to look great with the full name written out as well as abbreviated. Our solution was to make the design feel ultra compact by using very tight letter spacing so that each letterform blends into the next. This created a unique and ownable look with retro qualities inspired by science fiction book covers and movie posters.
